Senior Performance Squad
General Information
The Senior Performance Squad at Leander is a high-achieving squad. Swimmers achieve County times and win medals across multiple strokes and distances as a minimum. Most swimmers on this squad will compete at the Regional Championships and some will qualify for the National Championships.
A strong commitment to your training and racing progression is expected from all swimmers on this squad.
There is lots of fun too, with an annual foreign training camp amongst the highlights!
Squad Movement
Movement onto this squad is by coaches recommendation inline with the published criteria. For most swimmers this may involve a transition or trial period.
Swimmers may make a sideways move on Senior Squad if they struggle to meet the demands of training in this squad. Swimmers may also move to our Masters sessions when they reach 17+ years. The move to Masters is at a time appropriate for the individual.
